Course Overview
HLTINF005 Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments is a nationally recognised unit of competency. It provides aesthetic professionals with the essential knowledge and skills to maintain infection prevention in all areas associated with dermal and cosmetic injectable procedures.
Learning focuses on current state or territory hygiene regulations and the key principles of infection prevention in a cosmetic medical context.
Completion of this unit of competency satisfies the requirements to perform higher risk personal appearance services set out in the Queenland Public Health Act 2003.
Requirements
Course Admission Requirements
- None, however this course is most suited for those working as a cosmetic nurse, dermal therapist or in a health setting.

- Students / participants will be required to upload a video as part of your assessment to demonstrate your current infection control procedures
