The AACDS Graduate Diploma of Dermal Science has been developed for individuals who have a beauty or allied health background and are looking to elevate their skills to work as qualified dermal therapists in a cosmetic medical practice or dermal clinic or increase their offering to the clients of their existing business.
The curriculum provides graduates with the knowledge and hands-on skills to perform a range of safe and effective dermal therapies, including patient consultation and assessment, dermatoscopy, laser and light-based therapies, epidermal resurfacing procedures, skin/micro-needling, and holistic patient care involving the integration of gut health and dermatology.

Requirements
Course Admission Requirements
- Diploma of Beauty Therapy or;
Diploma minimum in a health-related field
Course Duration and Study Commitment
Theory Components
- Full-time: Approximately 25 hours/week over 12 months
- Part-time: Approximately 12.5 hours/week over 24 months
- Unit by Unit: Approximately 6 hours/week over a maximum of 2.5 years
Practical Component
Clinical competencies in Dermal Therapies: Full-time block over two weeks.
Study Mode
Online, with practical training available in Sydney, Perth, Gold Coast, and Melbourne.
